Oblivion soundtrack gets a Laced Records vinyl release

Laced Records and Bethesda are pressing the 26-track Oblivion soundtrack on vinyl, with an orange-record Exclusive Edition and March 2027 shipping.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion soundtrack vinyl with the Oblivion Gate artwork and orange records

The original soundtrack from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is being pressed on vinyl, with Laced Records and Bethesda opening pre-orders for a 26-track release. The album is based on the music from the game and has been specially remastered by Joe Caithness for 45 RPM playback.1

Laced Records lists two versions of the release: a standard double-vinyl edition and an Exclusive Edition with orange “Oblivion Gate” records. Both use artwork drawn from Oblivion and are presented in a widespined outer sleeve with printed polylined inner sleeves.2

The release is priced at $42 in the announcement covered by Final Weapon, while Laced Records’ own UK store lists the two editions at £36. The retailer currently marks the products as sold out, so availability may vary by region or change as the pre-order window develops.12

Shipping is currently set for March 2027. That gives fans a long wait, but the format makes sense for a soundtrack whose identity is tied closely to Oblivion’s enormous fantasy atmosphere: the record is not just a physical copy of the score, but a collector’s edition built around the game’s most recognisable visual language.

The vinyl announcement arrives as Bethesda’s remaster remains available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam. The modern version includes the base game, Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine and additional downloadable content, although the vinyl release is for the original soundtrack rather than a newly announced remaster score.1

Our opinion

This is the sort of soundtrack release that earns its shelf space by understanding the object as well as the music. The Oblivion Gate artwork is instantly legible, and the orange records give the Exclusive Edition a stronger identity than a routine black-vinyl pressing. The catch is timing: with shipping scheduled for March 2027 and the UK store showing both products as sold out, interested collectors will need to watch Laced Records for another allocation rather than treating the announcement as an immediate purchase opportunity.
