NieR's 2B and Kaine return in new Dollfie Dream dolls
Volks has opened reservations for detailed Dollfie Dream versions of NieR:Automata's 2B and NieR Replicant's Kaine.
NieR:Automata's 2B and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139...'s Kaine are getting new Dollfie Dream dolls from Volks, with reservations open until 29 November 2026. The official product page lists delivery for winter 2027, while the initial report described the release window as autumn 2027.12
The collaboration gives both characters highly detailed doll releases. 2B returns with an updated DDdy Base Body 2.0, a refined head proportion and a completely new sculpt of her signature sword, White Contract. Kaine is presented with flowing silver hair, her distinctive outfit and a large pair of serrated twin swords. Both dolls are priced at ¥110,000 including tax.1
What's included
Volks describes the 2B set as including the doll, wig, hairband, combat goggles, outfit, boots, gloves and sword. Kaine's set includes the doll, wig, floral hair ornament, ribbon, clothing, shoes and two swords. Both use the DDdy Base Body 2.0 and have semi-white skin tones.1
The products are part of Volks' 2026 Dollfie Dream made-to-order project. Reservations run from 10 October to 29 November 2026 through the Dollfie online store, selected Volks shops and overseas DD Friend Shops. The official page says the order period is intended to let everyone who reserves during the window buy one, rather than limiting the run to fixed stock.1
Reservation details
The official product page links separate full-payment and deposit reservation options for each doll. The full-payment route is limited to customers in Japan, while overseas customers are directed to the deposit option. Volks also warns that the displayed dolls are samples and the final product may differ in some details.1
Our opinion
The appeal here is the specificity. Volks has not just printed NieR branding on a generic doll: the two releases are built around recognisable silhouettes, signature weapons and character-specific details. 2B is the obvious headline act, but Kaine's silver hair, layered costume and oversized twin swords make the pair feel balanced. The ¥110,000 price puts both dolls firmly in premium collector territory, but the made-to-order window gives fans time to decide instead of forcing a same-day purchase. Collectors should treat the official product page as the final word on delivery timing and sample details.1
