Mondo unveils new Over the Garden Wall Chapter 3 collectibles
Mondo’s new Chapter 3 figure set and timed-edition poster bring Schooltown Follies back to life for collectors.
Mondo has unveiled a new wave of Over the Garden Wall collectibles based on Chapter 3, “Schooltown Follies”, including a figure set and a timed-edition poster. IGN’s exclusive reveal identifies the characters as Miss Langtree, her animal students and the Gorilla, with extra arm accessories for the previously released Greg figure. 1
The Chapter 3 figure set is priced at $150 and is being sold as a timed release through Mondo. The set is designed around the schoolhouse episode, with swappable heads and accessories for the characters. 1
Mondo is also offering a Chapter 3 poster by artist Matt Emmons. The official product page describes it as a four-colour screenprint inspired by the schoolhouse songs, strange students and characters from “Schooltown Follies”. It is priced at $60 and is also listed as a timed edition. 2
The poster’s artwork brings together the episode’s animal concert, woodland setting and schoolhouse cast, making it the more immediately readable of the two new releases for anyone who wants a display piece rather than a shelf full of figures. Mondo says the item is a pre-order and has not yet been released for sale. 2
Our opinion
This is exactly the sort of Over the Garden Wall merchandise that makes sense: it expands a specific episode instead of flattening the series into a generic logo. The poster’s focus on Schooltown Follies gives it a clear identity, while the figure set’s accessories reward fans who remember the episode’s odd little details. The prices are firmly collector territory, but the timed-release format at least gives interested fans a defined window rather than an impossible lottery.
