Modern Warfare 4 beta patch adds Transit 213 playlist and gameplay fixes
Infinity Ward’s open-beta update adds a Transit 213 24/7 playlist, gameplay adjustments and fixes across Multiplayer, Warzone and progression.

The open beta for Modern Warfare 4 has received another patch, and Infinity Ward is adding a dedicated playlist while quietly sanding down the rough edges. The 30 August update is not a glamorous content drop, but it tackles enough small annoyances to make the beta feel less like a stress test with guns.
What’s actually going on: the Day 3 update adds a Transit 213 24/7 playlist and adjusts the score limits on that map. The patch also improves operator model streaming on less powerful hardware, refines loot interactions in Warzone and makes changes to damage indicators.
The update covers Multiplayer, Warzone, progression, UI and UX, alongside multiple bug fixes. Double XP and Double Weapon XP were scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. PT, although beta event timings and availability can vary by region.
Infinity Ward’s notes describe an open-beta update rather than a final launch patch. That distinction matters: beta fixes are useful evidence of what the studio is watching, but they are not a guarantee that every change will remain identical in the finished game.
Why you should care: Transit 213 24/7 gives players a straightforward way to learn the map and test the patch without constantly being shuffled elsewhere. The streaming and interaction fixes are less visible, but potentially more important for players using older hardware or trying to make sense of Warzone’s busier loot encounters.
Our opinion
This is the sort of beta patch players actually need: less fireworks, more friction removal. Transit 213 24/7 should keep the community busy, while the hardware and UI fixes suggest Infinity Ward is paying attention to the unglamorous problems that can sour a beta. Just remember that this is still testing, not a promise carved into the final release.
