MARVEL Tōkon adds Thor, Venom and Jubilee as DLC fighters

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls has announced three new fighters for its Year One downloadable content: Jane Foster’s Thor, Venom and Jubilee.

The announcement, reported by Gematsu, adds three Marvel characters to the upcoming fighting game’s post-launch line-up. The reveal expands the roster beyond the base cast shown in the game’s official Steam artwork, although the announcement does not change the game’s currently listed launch information.

Three more Marvel fighters

Jane Foster’s Thor brings the Asgardian hero into the game, while Venom and Jubilee add two very different styles to the roster. The announcement names all three characters as downloadable content rather than part of the game’s initial line-up.

The official Steam listing identifies MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls as a Marvel fighting game developed around a superhero roster. Its store artwork features Captain America, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel and other characters from the game.

What the reveal means

The latest announcement gives players a clearer look at how the game’s post-launch support will be structured. It also places more emphasis on the breadth of Marvel’s character catalogue, with the DLC reaching from established heroes and villains to Jubilee, one of the X-Men’s best-known members.

Our opinion

A three-character reveal is a sensible way to keep MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls visible before launch, but the announcement leaves the practical questions players will care about for later. Release timing, pricing and the precise Year One schedule will matter more than the names alone. For now, this is a roster update rather than a full post-launch roadmap.

Gematsu’s report contains the announcement details, while Steam provides the game’s official store listing and key art.
