Laid-Back Camp All-In-One returns as Chill Time
enish is retiring the live-service version of its cosy camping game and relaunching it as a work-companion app on 22 October, with a paid Steam Early Access build sitting alongside the free mobile version.
The cosiest game on your phone is about to ask something slightly different of you. enish announced on 18 September that Laid-Back Camp All-In-One!! - known in Japan as Tsuna Camp - will be fully renewed on 22 October as Laid-Back Camp All-In-One!! Chill Time, a companion app you leave open while you get on with real work. A PC version arrives on the same day through Steam Early Access, and the Steam store page went live on 18 September with wishlists open.
What actually changes
The premise has been quietly rebuilt around focusing rather than collecting. Rin, Nadeshiko and the rest of the Outdoor Activities Club camp on screen while you work or study, a Pomodoro-style timer tracks your sessions and breaks, and the game keeps a diary of the time you have spent together. There is a to-do list, a calendar, background music and ambient sound, and a camera that drifts around your campsite every few seconds so the scene keeps moving even when you are staring at a spreadsheet. You build the campsite yourself from more than 1,000 types of gear and outfits, and up to five people can gather at the same spot online.
Nobody loses the campsite they already built. Player names, gear, cooking items, costumes and support cards all carry over when the app updates, with the cards renamed as Stills, and existing players do not need to download anything new. Log in to the current version between 18 September and 21 October and you collect 10 free gacha pulls every day.
The money works differently depending on where you play. The iOS, Android and DMM Games versions stay free to play with in-app purchases. On PC it is a one-time purchase, sold in Early Access while enish adds features based on feedback. Steam's listing shows a 21 October release, which is the same moment as enish's stated 22 October at 02:00 UTC once you account for Steam displaying Pacific time - 19:00 on 21 October on the west coast of the United States.
Service for the current version ends on 21 October at 02:00 UTC, with the relaunch landing immediately afterwards. Sales of in-game currency stopped on 18 September, and enish says refunds for unused currency are planned with details to follow.
The pivot hiding in plain sight
The 2023 original was a mobile camping simulation with a gacha economy bolted on, and the relaunch effectively drops the live-service framing for something closer to a paid utility - the same territory as companion apps such as Chill with You: Lo-Fi Story. That is a meaningful change of business model for a licensed game, and it is happening while the underlying app survives as a free-to-play mobile product rather than being shut down.
Our opinion
The quiet admission inside this announcement is that a gacha economy never really suited a show about sitting still. Laid-Back Camp is about deliberately doing less, so a game that nudged you to log in daily or miss out was working against its own premise. Rebuilding it as a focus timer is the most on-brand decision enish could have made: the anime's entire argument is that a slow evening by a lake is time well spent, and the app now measures exactly that. The awkward part is the split. PC players pay once, while the people who have been playing since 2023 keep the shop and the in-app purchases, which is a strange way round. Early Access on Steam is also an odd place to launch a game whose whole selling point is calm - "unfinished" and "relaxing" do not usually share a store page. Still, a single payment for something that sits quietly beside your work instead of nagging you is a fair trade, and as long as the carry-over works as advertised, nobody has to abandon a campsite they spent three years building.
