Hot Wheels' F1 Car Collection Pack adds all 22 cars

Formula 1 and Mattel are putting every car from the 2026 grid into HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush, with the F1 Car Collection Pack due from March 2027.

Formula 1 and Mattel have confirmed that every car on the 2026 grid is coming to HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush in a new F1 Car Collection Pack, which arrives as downloadable content from March 2027. It is the first time the full Formula 1 field has been playable in a Hot Wheels game.

What is in the F1 Car Collection Pack?

All 11 teams from the 2026 season are represented, giving players 22 cars to choose from across the game's high-speed, toy-scale tracks. Each one has been recreated from its Hot Wheels die-cast counterpart rather than modelled from the real machine, so the pack is a digital version of a toy version of a racing car.

The cars join the Speeder category, the fastest class in the game, alongside a roster of more than 150 vehicles. Formula 1 and Mattel have worked together since 2024, and the sport's commercial arm calls this the biggest gaming activation between the two brands so far.

Where and when you can play it

HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handhelds, and PC through Steam, the Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store. The game supports crossplay across those platforms, with Nintendo Switch 2 the one system sitting outside it.

The F1 Car Collection Pack follows the same route as the game's other add-ons, arriving as paid downloadable content in March 2027 rather than as a separate release. That puts it roughly six months behind the base game, which Mattel and Milestone shipped on 10 September.

Who is making it

The game is built by Milestone, the Italian studio behind the MotoGP and Ride series, working under licence from Mattel, which owns Hot Wheels. Emily Prazer, Formula 1's chief commercial officer, said the move gives fans the chance to “race their favourite driver's car in the HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush video game”, and added that the reaction to the earlier F1 Hot Wheels die-cast cars suggests the pack will be popular.

Andrea Loiudice, publishing director at Milestone, said the studio was “incredibly proud to be the first to bring Formula 1 Hot Wheels die-cast cars to a video game”, and described working with Mattel and Formula 1 as a mark of the trust both partners place in the studio's racing output.

Our opinion

Hot Wheels has been selling Formula 1 cars as toys since 2024, so the interesting part here is not the licence, it is the direction of travel. Milestone is modelling the digital cars from the die-casts rather than the real grid, which tells you exactly who this pack is for: children who own the physical cars and want to race the ones in their box, not sim racers chasing setup screens. That is a defensible read of a licensed arcade racer, and it gives the pack a reason to exist beyond a livery swap.

The March 2027 date is the part worth watching. Shipping the base game in September and the headline F1 content six months later is a familiar rhythm for licensed racers, and it asks players who bought in on day one to keep a game installed through the winter to reach the thing they were actually shown. It will sell - Formula 1's audience for collectables is not small - but a grid-sized pack landing in the same month as the season opener would have been the more generous calendar.
