ESDigital Games picks up Go Slimey Go! for consoles
The Argentine pixel-art platformer with 99% positive Steam reviews has a new publisher, a new trailer and console versions on the way, plus a Tokyo Game Show berth.

Go Slimey Go! has a publisher, and a much bigger audience ahead of it. ESDigital Games has announced it is now the worldwide publisher of the Argentine pixel-art platformer, taking on console versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, along with localisation, marketing and distribution.
The game arrived on Steam in December 2025 as a surprise shadow drop during the Latin American Games Showcase, and it has quietly become one of the better-regarded indies on the store: a Very Positive rating with 99% positive user reviews. A new trailer has landed with the announcement, and the game is at Tokyo Game Show 2026 this week.
What ESDigital is actually taking on
The deal hands over the full publishing stack: worldwide distribution, console porting, localisation, PR and influencer campaigns, QA and community management. Console versions are confirmed but undated, with Epic Games Store and GOG releases also planned; platform dates and new content are promised in the coming months.
The game is a momentum platformer about keeping speed. You play as Slimey, a squishy hero bouncing and sliding across five handcrafted worlds to reunite with friends for a very overdue teatime, dodging the ultimate showdown between good and evil along the way. The team is led by Agustín Pérez Fernández, with Julián Chab on design and animation, Joaquín Calvo on levels and composer Toni Leys handling a soundtrack that has been doing a lot of the goodwill-building.
The trophy shelf explains the interest
Slimey has been collecting nods for a while: a Best Game finalist at gamescom latam 2026, a Best Game win at Indie Dev Argentina 2025, the Press Award at EVA 2025 and third place for Best Mobile Game at GWDC. The Tokyo Game Show appearance is as one of the Selected Indie 80, chosen from more than 1,500 submissions worldwide, at booth E-08 in Hall 9.
Our opinion
This is the deal small studios pray for and rarely get: a publisher with a porting pipeline turning a one-platform hit into a five-platform one. It is also a reminder of how brutal indie discovery remains — 99% positive reviews, an award cabinet and a shadow drop that landed, and the game still needed a partner to reach a console audience. The one thing missing from the announcement is a date, and "coming soon" has a habit of stretching past the console generation it was promised for. If you have a console and you like your platformers tight, wait for the port rather than buying the PC version twice. If you have a PC, the game is £10.99 and often discounted, and Slimey has earned that.
