Blue Archive launches The Calm After the Storm event

Blue Archive’s new event adds a story, challenge stages and swimsuit versions of Kisaki and Shun to its limited-time schedule.

NEXON has launched Blue Archive’s “The Calm After the Storm” event, bringing a new story, quests, challenges and a limited-time recruitment featuring Kisaki (Swimsuit) and Shun (Swimsuit). 1

The event began after maintenance on 13 October and runs until 27 October. The event shop and reward exchange remain open until 3 November, giving players an extra week to spend their event currency. 1

What the event adds

The event story and quests award Pyroxenes and event currency. Regular quests also provide Credit Points and Artifacts, while a dedicated event shop lets players exchange the new currency for rewards. 2

High-difficulty challenges are available alongside the story content. Each cleared stage grants 30 Pyroxenes, and completing all three unlocks an Extra Stage with a Secret Tech Sheet reward. 2

New limited-time recruitment

Kisaki (Swimsuit) is a Sonic-type Supporter. Her EX Skill changes after two uses, increasing Skill Cost Recovery and reducing the Skill Cost of three allied Strikers. 2

Shun (Swimsuit) is a Sonic-type damage dealer. Her Flower Bud stacks can reach three levels and are consumed by her EX Skill for heavy single-target damage. She can also switch to Shunling (Swimsuit), whose EX Skill deals heavy damage and applies stacking Attack Down. 2

The official event trailer presents the update as a beach-themed story, with the returning characters shown in their summer outfits. The trailer is published by the official Blue Archive Global channel and confirms the event’s launch timing. 1

Blue Archive is available on iOS, Android and PC through Steam. The event is time-limited, so players who want the event rewards or the two featured recruits should check the in-game schedule before 27 October. 2

Our opinion

This is a useful event update rather than a vague content tease: players get a defined story window, a longer reward-shop deadline and a clear challenge ladder. The extra week for the shop matters for anyone who can play the event but cannot clear every reward during its main run. The headline recruits also give the update a strong reason to log in beyond the usual event currency grind.
