Beast of Reincarnation's final update adds New Game+ carry-over

Version 1.1.02 is described as Beast of Reincarnation's last scheduled update, adding New Game+ carry-over, new features and a long list of fixes.

Fictions and Game Freak have released version 1.1.02 for Beast of Reincarnation, describing it as the action RPG's final update in its regularly scheduled post-launch update cadence. The patch is available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and its notes are published on the game's official Steam page.1

The headline addition is a New Game+ carry-over system. Players can now bring equipment, outfits and skins into a new run, while Emma can change outfits at campsites and through the Bed Menu inside the Cleanse Walker. The update also adds outfit pattern variations to each region, giving exploration another reason to revisit previously cleared areas.1

The details

The patch adds a Growth Boost feature to the Grow Chamber. Defeating enemies grants boost uses, allowing players to speed up crop growth, and the chamber's Auto setting now guarantees at least one crop seed is planted when seeds are available. Fictions and Game Freak have also added new boss attack moves and adjusted attack behaviour, regular-enemy and Nushi stats, Bloom Arts and Blade Arts.1

Combat and controls receive a broad pass. Ranged weapons can be switched during regular attacks and Iaido stance, Guard is now a continuous trigger, and attack targeting better aligns slashes vertically with locked-on enemies. Key rebinding warnings have also been improved, while touchpad controls and button icons are now supported when using a PS5 DualSense controller.1

The rest of the update is largely about removing friction. It fixes progression blockers in Chapters 3, 10 and 11, corrects missing achievements, improves ultrawide-monitor cutscenes, addresses a Steam Deck loading issue, and resolves a range of visual, audio, camera and menu bugs. The notes also list performance and resource-load improvements across visual effects.1

Our opinion

Calling version 1.1.02 the “last update” gives the patch a clear sense of finality, but the contents are more substantial than a tidy-up pass. New Game+ carry-over, extra boss behaviour and the Grow Chamber changes all affect how a second run feels, while the long list of fixes should make the existing adventure less vulnerable to the sort of progression snags that sour a late-game push. It is a sensible closing update: not a new chapter, but a meaningful effort to leave Beast of Reincarnation in a cleaner and more replayable state.

Beast of Reincarnation is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam.12
