Anno 117 Update 3.0 and Dawn of the Delta launch November 5
Anno 117: Pax Romana Update 3.0 and Dawn of the Delta launch on November 5 with new planning tools, balance changes and a large bug-fix pass.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Anno 117: Pax Romana Update 3.0 and the paid Dawn of the Delta DLC will arrive on Thursday, November 5, at 10am UTC (11am CET) across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement comes through the official Anno Union patch notes, which also set out the update’s main systems changes and fixes.1
The most useful addition for city planners is Stamp Mode. Players can save favourite residential or production layouts, name them, sort them into folders and reuse them later. PC players will also be able to share Stamp files with other players, turning carefully tuned neighbourhoods and production chains into reusable templates rather than one-off experiments.1
The Statistics Screen is getting two new views. A Storage tab will show more information about stored goods, passive trades, active trades and wider storage fluctuations. A separate item and specialist tab will provide an overview of owned and unknown specialists, including where those specialists came from. Quests can also be hidden from the quest log while remaining available in the quest book, where they can be unhidden later.1
Console players should see a smaller installed game after the update on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, although Update 3.0 itself will require a larger download. Ubisoft also lists performance improvements on recommended PC systems, better automatic graphics detection, and reduced frame-rate drops when moving around large developed cities. NVIDIA RTX 30-series cards will have FSR 3 frame generation enabled by default when automatic graphics settings choose the relevant configuration.1
The patch also changes the game’s balance. Normal is now the default difficulty for new saves, increasing goods consumption, while Easy remains available and Very Hard applies a 75 per cent increase. Starting money rises to compensate. Festival costs, specialist effects, research-speed points and several production values are also being adjusted, while escort contracts, shrines and plantation behaviour receive targeted changes.1
The remainder of the notes covers a substantial bug-fix pass, including crashes, save-game issues, console autosaves, camera and construction problems, trade-route behaviour, mod mismatch reporting and performance in several menus. The official post does not state a price for Dawn of the Delta or provide edition details, so those details remain unconfirmed.1
Our opinion
This looks like a meaningful systems update rather than a thin pre-DLC patch. Stamp Mode should make the time spent perfecting a city more valuable, while the new statistics tabs address the kind of information gaps that become increasingly irritating in a large settlement. The balance changes will need time to settle, particularly the new consumption baseline, but the combination of planning tools, performance work and quality-of-life fixes gives Update 3.0 a clear purpose ahead of the DLC’s launch.
The important caveat is timing: Dawn of the Delta and Update 3.0 launch on November 5, not immediately. Ubisoft has confirmed the date and platforms, but not the DLC price in the source material.
