Ace Attorney Soundrop reservations open with voices and music

Bandai Namco’s five-piece Ace Attorney Soundrop collection plays character lines and music when pressed, with reservations opening on 28 October.

Bandai Namco is opening reservations for Ace Attorney Soundrop, a five-item capsule collection that plays character dialogue and music from Capcom’s courtroom adventure series. Reservations begin on 28 October at 11am via Gashapon Online, with each capsule costing ¥500 including tax.12

The collection turns familiar Ace Attorney moments into small sound toys. Pressing a button triggers lines associated with Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth, including “Objection!”, “Take that!” and “Hold it!”. The range also includes music selections: “Phoenix Wright ~ Objection! 2001”, “Pursuit ~ Cornered” and “Steel Samurai Theme”, according to the official product listing.1

There are five designs in total, each roughly 5cm tall. The official store lists ABS as the main material and says each unit uses two LR44 button batteries, with test batteries included. The product is aimed at customers aged 15 and over.1

Reservations are scheduled to close at 11:59pm on 24 November, although Bandai Namco warns that orders may end sooner if the preparation stock is exhausted. The store says deliveries are expected in late March 2027, while the same products may appear in capsule vending machines across Japan before online orders arrive.1

The announcement follows a familiar Ace Attorney merchandising formula, but the Soundrop range gives the franchise’s most recognisable courtroom cues a physical gimmick rather than simply putting characters on a static accessory. That makes the five designs more than another character-art collection: the appeal is specifically in hearing the catchphrases and soundtrack snippets when the button is pressed.

Our opinion

This is a neat fit for longtime Ace Attorney fans because the product is built around the series’ audio identity. The official line-up also avoids making the range depend on one protagonist: it mixes Phoenix and Edgeworth character designs with three recognisable music cues, including the wonderfully over-the-top Steel Samurai theme. The practical catch is that this is a Japan-focused reservation with a March 2027 delivery window, so overseas fans will need to check availability and shipping before getting too excited. Still, at ¥500 per pull, it is an unusually direct way to carry a tiny slice of courtroom drama around.
