Wuthering Waves 3.7 arrives on 30 September and closes out Xuanfang's story
Kuro Games' official trailer for Wuthering Waves 3.7, Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination, dates the update for 30 September and confirms Xuanfang's finale.

Wuthering Waves version 3.7 has a name, a date and a job to finish. The official trailer calls the update Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination, and its description confirms the version launches on 30 September - and that Xuanfang's storyline reaches its finale.
What the trailer confirms
The trailer went live on the game's official YouTube channel on 19 September, and the one detail it leads with is the ending: “Xuanfang's Finale Arrives”. The date is given as 30 September in UTC+8, so European and North American players will see the update land on 29 or 30 September depending on where their server's daily reset falls. KURO GAMES has not yet posted its usual patch-notes announcement on Steam: the newest content post on the store page is still version 3.6, Lamplight in Mirage, Sword's Resolve in Heart, which went live on 19 August.
A preview broadcast fills in the rest
Alongside the trailer, the channel published a Version 3.7 Preview Special Broadcast, scheduled for 19 September at 19:00 UTC+8. That stream is where KURO GAMES traditionally details a version's new characters, weapons, map areas and events, along with the compensation and currencies that arrive with a version change. Until those patch notes exist, everything beyond the version name, the launch date and the Xuanfang finale is unconfirmed - which includes the character and banner lists currently circulating.
Where you can play it
Wuthering Waves is free to play and available on PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, and iOS and Android. It is developed and published by KURO GAMES and has been on Steam since 28 April 2025. Version 3.6 shows the shape a version change usually takes here: new five-star Resonators and weapons, a new domain, extra main-quest acts and challenges, and technical work such as the DLSS 4.5 frame-generation support added on PC.
Our opinion
Kuro Games has spent most of this year doing the unglamorous half of live-service work properly: version 3.6 shipped characters, a new domain and a DLSS 4.5 upgrade in the same download, which is a reasonable argument that the studio is not coasting between anniversaries. Announcing the finale of a multi-version storyline with a date and almost no other information is a strange way to build momentum, though - it asks players to care about a conclusion before telling them what is actually in it. The real test for version 3.7 is therefore the patch notes, not the trailer. If the Xuanfang finale arrives with the new map areas and events a version change is supposed to carry, this is a good fortnight for lapsed players to come back. If it is a story ending and a banner, it is just a pause before the next region.
