We Were Here Tomorrow sets a 20 October launch
Total Mayhem Games has dated We Were Here Tomorrow for 20 October at £16.99, the next two-player puzzle game in its We Were Here series, this time set inside a retro-futuristic Norček Industries facility.

Total Mayhem Games has dated the next game in its two-player puzzle series. We Were Here Tomorrow launches on 20 October at £16.99, with a new release-date trailer showing the retro-futuristic facility where the pair of you wake up with no clear memory of arriving.
What Tomorrow asks of you
The pitch is the same one the studio has built a small franchise on: two players, two headsets, and a set of puzzles neither of you can solve alone. This time the setting has moved from the series' castle to Norček Industries, an imagined 1980s future of chunky consoles and neon corridors. The studio says the game adds new tools, new characters and puzzles that lean harder on communication and teamwork than on reflexes.
It lands at €19.99, $19.99 and £16.99, which puts it at the upper end of what the series has asked for. The studio first said the game was arriving in October back in August, after a trailer at the gamescom Future Games Show, and the playable demo that had been running was taken offline on 3 August so the team could finish the full release.
Our opinion
Asymmetrical co-op is the most under-served idea in games and Total Mayhem Games has quietly spent years serving it. The trick is not the puzzles; it is that you and your partner are fed different halves of the same room, so you have to describe what you see out loud, badly, until it makes sense. That is a genuinely hard thing to design and the studio keeps finding new machinery for it, which is why a fifth trip into the same formula is easier to forgive here than it would be anywhere else. Norček Industries is the part worth watching, because leaving Castle Rock means the series cannot fall back on the gothic furniture that made the earlier games feel bigger than they were. £16.99 is a fair ask for four or five evenings of shouting at someone you like, but it is also close enough to a full-price indies that the puzzles had better carry the setting rather than the other way around.
