Warhammer Survivors launches on 10 November with two new champions
Auroch Digital has confirmed Warhammer Survivors launches on PlayStation 5 on 10 November, and revealed Morvenn Vahl and Lyssa Revenya among more than 40 playable champions.

Warhammer Survivors will launch on PlayStation 5 on 10 November, Auroch Digital designer Ellie Harrodine has confirmed on the PlayStation.Blog. The game lets players fight through both the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar settings, and the studio marked the release date by revealing two more champions from a roster of more than 40 in a new trailer.
Morvenn Vahl, from the 41st millennium
Morvenn Vahl was a Celestian Superior before she was elevated to High Abbess Sanctorum, the supreme commander of the Adepta Sororitas. In Warhammer Survivors she is one of the larger characters, striding through battle in her Paragon Warsuit behind the Heavy Bolter Fidelis, which sprays an arc of projectiles and can trigger a miracle that raises the weapon's rate of fire. Evolving Fidelis unlocks the Purgator Mirabilis, which adds the warsuit's Paragon Missile Launcher.
Lyssa Revenya, from the Mortal Realms
Her Age of Sigmar counterpart is Lyssa Revenya, a thief and tomb-robber from Lethis who belongs to the Saviours of Cinderfall. Her Rope and Grapnel fires hooks in from random edges of the screen, striking set points on the battlefield and dragging away anything that survives. When the weapon evolves she communes with the spirit of Rhea, a former mentor whose screaming banshee form explodes into a cloud of damaging fog.
Our opinion
Putting two Warhammer settings in one survivor game is the sensible use of a licence this size, and the roster is doing the heavy lifting. Morvenn Vahl is the smart headline pick, because a Paragon Warsuit that adds missile salvos on top of a bolter gives the pixel-art team something the genre's usual survivors cannot match, and pairing the Imperium's most senior Sororitas with an Age of Sigmar grave robber is a licensing flourish rather than a balance decision. Forty-plus champions is a lot for players to learn, though, and survivor-likes live or die on whether the first few hours feel generous. Five weeks from launch the trailer has done its job, and the pre-order discount for PlayStation Plus members suggests the studio knows November is going to be brutal.
