Nintendo Life reports that publisher Neos will bring two Shin Chan games to Switch 2 on 4 March 2027, with both titles bundled on a single physical cartridge.1

Two games, one Switch 2 cartridge

The bundle combines Shin Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation – The Endless Seven-Day Journey with Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town. The western launch will be handled by Clear River Games, and the physical edition is set to include a booklet and reversible cover.1

Players who already own either game digitally on Switch will be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 versions at a discounted price, although Neos has not yet confirmed the exact terms.1

What is changing on Switch 2

Neos says both ports will add improved resolution, 60fps performance, mouse-mode compatibility and the ability to save anywhere.1 The physical bundle is due on 4 March 2027, while pre-orders were not available when Nintendo Life published its report.1

Our opinion

A single cartridge for two gentle adventure games is a much more appealing physical proposition than asking fans to buy the ports separately. The upgrades are practical rather than flashy, but 60fps, save-anywhere support and a reversible cover give this bundle a clear reason to exist beyond simply moving two Switch games to newer hardware. The important unanswered question is the upgrade price for existing digital owners; until Neos shares that detail, the physical bundle is the clearest option for collectors.

The news is useful because it pairs a firm date with a firm package: two games, one cartridge and a western publisher already named. We will need to wait for pre-order details and pricing before the value of the release can be properly judged.
