Hytale Update 7 adds a new dungeon and boss

Hytale Update 7 arrives on 12 October with a new dungeon, the first proper boss fight and a fresh wave of changes for the early-access survival sandbox.

A bigger challenge beneath the blocks

The update’s headline addition is a new underground dungeon, where players will face the flamethrowing goblin boss known as the Gobliterator. A teaser also points to reality-warping enemies and new underground regions, giving the next chapter of Hytale a more dangerous edge.

Hypixel’s pre-release notes also detail new and adjusted runestones, combat changes, enemy behaviour tweaks, fixes and world-generation work. The update is scheduled for Monday 12 October, expanding the first chapter of the game’s early-access content.

Our opinion

A first proper boss is exactly the sort of milestone Hytale needs. The game’s appeal has always been its promise of a world players can shape, but that world needs memorable threats as well as building blocks. If the Gobliterator’s dungeon gives Update 7 a strong destination, it could make the wider sandbox feel considerably more purposeful.
