Nintendo Switch owners can pick up six classic Nihon Falcom games at 15 per cent off in the EGG Console Falcom Autumn Sale 2026. 1

Six Falcom classics, one price cut

The sale runs until Nov. 9, with each participating game reduced from 880 yen to 748 yen including tax. The line-up covers role-playing games, action RPGs, an adventure-tinged shooter and a character-led adventure. 1

The six titles are The Legend of Heroes: Dragon Slayer (PC-8801mkIISR), The Legend of Heroes II: Dragon Slayer (PC-8801mkIISR), Xanadu Scenario II (PC-8801mkIISR), Popful Mail (PC-8801mkIISR), Star Trader (PC-8801mkIISR) and Ys (MSX2). 1

What is in the line-up

The Legend of Heroes: Dragon Slayer is the sixth entry in the Dragon Slayer series and uses command-based RPG battles. Xanadu Scenario II follows the original Xanadu as an action RPG, while Popful Mail stars the bounty-hunting swordswoman Mail. 1

The remaining three give the sale a broader spread: Star Trader combines shooting with adventure elements, while the original Ys follows the red-haired adventurer Adol. The Japanese titles are イース, ザナドゥ シナリオII, ぽっぷるメイル and スタートレーダー. 1

The games are part of D4 Enterprise's EGG Console range, which brings classic computer games to Nintendo Switch. 12

Our opinion

This is a small but unusually focused retro sale. Six games at the same price makes the choice simple, and the line-up covers enough styles to avoid feeling like a single-series clearance. Ys is the obvious headline pick, but Popful Mail and Xanadu Scenario II give the promotion more character than a bare list of old RPGs. The main caveat is that these are Japanese retro releases, so buyers should check the eShop listing and language support before spending.
