Christmasing Around turns Santa’s Christmas Eve into chaotic co-op

Christmasing Around sends up to eight elves into a chaotic Christmas Eve of sleigh repairs, present delivery and airborne disasters.

Christmasing Around is turning Santa’s delivery run into a frantic online co-op game, with two to eight players taking on the role of elves during a very badly organised Christmas Eve. Developer Abubu Dance and publisher The Bueno Interactive have announced the game for Steam, with a December 2026 release listed on its store page.1

The central job sounds straightforward: deliver presents while keeping Santa, the reindeer and a thousand-year-old sleigh in working order. In practice, players will need to find tools, put out fires and repair the sleigh while dealing with disasters in the sky. The official description also promises UFOs, sky pirates and troublesome penguins, so this is clearly not a quiet night shift.1

A co-op Christmas under pressure

Each elf can contribute to the delivery effort, but the game is designed around the kind of shared chaos that makes online co-op unpredictable. Players will be able to use proximity voice chat, and the Steam listing supports up to eight people working together. The store page also lists cross-platform multiplayer and full controller support, although the developer has not yet published a final launch date.1

The game is not only about emergency repairs. When the sleigh is not on fire, players can decorate it, open presents and pick up musical instruments to form a band. That gives Christmasing Around a second, more relaxed side: a festive social space that can immediately collapse back into panic when another problem appears.1

The announcement report describes the same split between organised teamwork and comic disaster. Alongside putting out fires and fixing the sleigh, players may find themselves dealing with UFOs, sky pirates and mischievous penguins before the delivery route is complete.2

Release plans

Christmasing Around is currently listed for Windows, macOS and Linux on Steam, with a December 2026 launch window. The page does not yet show a firm day or a price, and it is marked as coming soon rather than available to play. That means interested players should treat the mid-December timing reported in the announcement coverage as a target, not a confirmed release date.12

The developer’s Steam page links to Abubu Dance’s website, while The Bueno Interactive is named as publisher. A trailer is also listed on Steam, giving prospective players a clearer look at the co-op tasks and the game’s deliberately colourful take on Christmas Eve.1

Our opinion

Christmasing Around has a strong hook because it understands that festive co-op games work best when the plan falls apart. Repairing a sleigh is a task; repairing it while three friends play music, a UFO interrupts the route and someone forgets which tool they picked up is the actual game. The eight-player ceiling should make it appealing for larger groups, while the quieter decorating and gift-opening activities could stop the whole experience becoming exhausting noise.1

The unanswered question is how much variety sits behind the trailer’s pile-up of disasters. If the events are genuinely reactive rather than a short sequence of scripted interruptions, this could make for a particularly good December party game. For now, the Steam listing establishes the concept and platforms, but the exact launch date and full scope remain to be confirmed.1
