Ace Combat Online’s second Release Celebration Event begins at approximately 3:30pm JST on November 6, Bandai Namco says, adding new limited-time challenges and a higher Emergency Sortie appearance rate. 1

The first part of the event gives players a chance to earn 100,000 ZOLL by completing the new challenges. The official notice says the challenge period runs until noon JST on December 1, while the Emergency Sortie rate increase lasts until 3pm JST on November 16. 1

The update also doubles the daily limit for General Purpose Upgrade Blueprints earned as mission rewards, raising it from five to 10. Bandai Namco says the new limit will remain in place after the event ends. Ace Combat Online will be unavailable during two 30-minute maintenance windows, scheduled for 3pm to 3:30pm JST on November 6 and November 16. 1

The event applies to Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, which launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam on October 2. 2

Our opinion

This is a useful post-launch event because its benefits are split between immediate rewards and a lasting change to blueprint farming. The 100,000 ZOLL challenge is time-limited, but the increased blueprint allowance remains after the event, giving regular players a reason to check in even after the promotional window closes.

The maintenance times are the practical catch. Players planning to start the event at launch should allow for the half-hour server interruption, while anyone chasing the Emergency Sortie boost has a separate November 16 maintenance window to account for. 1
